The Trebas Institute is a, er, not-exactly-respected place of schooling in Toronto. This poster is designed to attract young 'uns who wish they could make a living doing something they actually enjoy (good luck, kids!). I had to snicker at the phrase "DJ Arts". Yes, it's an art. No, don't give your money to a school for it. But what really made me laugh is, okay, a camera represents movies... a soundboard represents audio engineering, and... crouching down represents entertainment management??

Date: 2009-01-30 06:54 am (UTC)Having worked in television in Rochester and considering how many media outlets in North America are laying off workers and automating some jobs, I'd get a marker and write over the ad:
"Don't do it!"
"Save your money!"
"Use your cellphone to film!"
"YouTube is free!"
