A documentary about the eventful making and release of the Wilco album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Wilco is one of my favourite bands, and this is one of my favourite albums, by anyone, so it was easy for me to enjoy this movie. But I can't let the director (Sam Jones) off easy. He made a 92-minute movie that should have been half as long. Jones had unlimited access, so the interview segments are great, but he doesn't seem to know how to edit them together in a compelling or coherent way. Then he pads the film with long performance clips. I enjoyed the music, of course, but if that's what I want I can listen to their cds or see them in concert.
