best bad albums, part one

Scattered throughout the great misinformation highway are images of bad album covers. I actually find that a lot of them aren't all that bad; just outdated. And some of them are designed to shock, so they shouldn't belong on a "bad" list if they accomplish that.

What I like is the ones that are unintentionally funny, or just plain WRONG. I collected my 50 favourite bad album covers and (of course) ranked them. I'm going to post them via five entries over the next few days, starting with the least objectionable ones.

A nurse tells children a story while their mother lays gravely ill. A delightful story about fish, plague, and necrophilia. Guy Maddin's first feature-length (just barely) film features what would become his trademarks: silent-film techniques, a narrative that follows dream logic, and a charming sense of the absurd.
