United Way has a series of ads showing people shedding their old, miserable skins to emerge new and happy, via the funds people donate to charity. For a long time, I thought what was happening in this picture is that this street person found paying work in a restaurant kitchen.



Until I read his worker's name tag (I forget what it says) and realized the kitchen is what he was escaping.
