The title creature. Yes, it's a man wearing an ape suit and a diving helmet. I wonder why I find myself strangely attracted...

Six people attempt to survive against an alien responsible for the annihilation of everyone else on Earth. Laughable dialogue ("my pulse has been reduced to plus zero zero"), nonsensical plot, stock footage, ridiculous special effects and costumes… but seeing as this has a reputation as one of the worst films of all time, it was somewhat better than expected. The score is decent, the acting could be worse, and I even cared a little about the story. A failure nonetheless, with embarrassing scenes such as the couple expressing their love for each other using pantomime, for no apparent reason. And that kid has some pretty mature dreams!
